The Rose Terrace Tea Room offers a charming setting - the perfect place to host a small celebration on the beautiful Vergelegen Estate.

The High Tea menu is available for groups of 10 to 24 guests, with function times offered from 09h30 - 12h30 or 13h30 - 16h30.

Our wine tasting hours are Monday to Sunday from 10h00 to 16h15. We are open for wine sales from 08h30 to 17h00 every day of the week.

Experience the Vergelegen Cultural Heritage and Gardens first-hand, accompanied by a knowledgeable tour guide.

Vergelegen was declared a Provincial Heritage Site in 2019 and has been nominated as a World Heritage Site. The Estate reflects an authentic depiction of Cape Cultural Heritage, in addition to 17 themed gardens that are intricately interwoven in the Cape Cultural existence.

Tour Highlights:

• Led by insightful and passionate guides, the highlights will include:
• 200 year old library including a catalogued 4500 book collection
• 300 year old Cape Dutch Homestead, refurbished to reflect the layered historicism
• Trees of significance including the majestic Camphor Trees that were declared National Monuments in 1942

Drive through the vineyards to the multiple level, gravity flow cellar.  Designed by French architects in a manner that combines the old with the new, the cellar provides majestic views of the surrounding valley offering visitors the opportunity of understanding the extent of Van der Stel’s vision in current times, as well as experiencing the cellar firsthand.
