Positioned as a natural extension of the estate’s esteemed dining venues, Oak Terrace Bistro and Magnolia Social Dining Lounge, Bloom draws inspiration from the indigenous gardens and verdant grounds surrounding this iconic Somerset West retreat.

Guests are welcomed into an ambiance of understated elegance, where sophistication meets a warm, unpretentious charm. Created by the acclaimed interior design team at Bone Studio, the space embodies a vision befitting its flagship status: striking murals, bespoke art installations and floral table accents, crafted from indigenous elements, engage all the senses and reflect the restaurant’s inventive spirit.

At the culinary helm is Executive Chef Sebastian Smith, whose dedication to seasonality and sustainability is evident in every dish. Collaborating closely with small-scale farmers and local artisans, Chef Smith reinterprets South African staples with modern finesse. Each plate is a narrative of heritage and terroir—whether through a delicate take on a Cape Malay classic or a vibrant celebration of the Winelands’ bounty—offering diners an evocative exploration of the country’s diverse culinary landscape.
