Marking another milestone for Franschhoek Wine Valley, bubbly lovers and aficionados of all things sparkling come together for this newest venture: the Cap Classique Safari, a weekend which pays tribute to all things Cap Classique wines, perfectly coinciding with the beginning of spring and international Cap Classique day.

As the birthplace of South Africa's Cap Classique wine route, the Franschhoek wine valley holds a special place in the country's winemaking heritage. Proudly encompassing 23 local producers, it’s the country’s largest and most impressive showcase of exceptional sparkling wines, combined with world-class hospitality and picturesque vineyard vistas.

The Cap Classique Safari weekend is a new event on the calendar, offering visitors the opportunity to indulge in the finest Cap Classiques of the region, a celebration of all things sparkling.
Transportation is provided within designated pods, each carefully curated to showcase a selection of renowned wineries:

Pod 1: Guests will visit Haute Cabriére, Black Elephant Vintners, Le Lude, La Bri, Wildeberg and Stony Brook.
Pod 2: This pod features Franschhoek Cellar, Grande Provence, Leopard's Leap, La Motte and Rickety Bridge.
Pod 3: The third pod includes Dieu Donné, Klein Goederust, Boschendal, Allée Bleue and Anthonij Rupert Wyne.

Each pod offers a unique tasting experience, highlighting the diversity and excellence of Franschhoek's abundant offerings. To complement the day's festivities, guests will enjoy a sumptuous lunch at select venues, including Haute Cabriere, Leopards Leap and Anthonij Rupert Wyne - offering a delightful interlude amidst the wine-filled adventures.

Visitors to the valley are encouraged to prolong the spoils with a mystery weekend stay, conveniently set over the same dates, ensuring your itinerary is overflowing with festivities. As the only 2024 addition to the calendar for this beloved Franschhoek staple, the timing couldn't be better for those seeking a stress-free weekend, sans any planning but with all the perks of famed Franschhoek at its finest.

The all-inclusive Cap Classique Safari Mystery Weekend ticks all the boxes from luxurious accommodation to award-winning wines, gourmet cuisine and bespoke experiences. Couples who secure their tickets for the weekend of August 30th and August 31st will automatically also enjoy a full Saturday of Cap Classique Safari spoils, ensuring they're in on the action but equally, still have a few surprises that await them over this tried and tested weekend recipe.

• Date: Friday, 30th August - Sunday, 1st September 2024
• Cost: R8950 per couple per weekend (check-in Friday 30 August and check out Sunday, 1 September)
• Includes: 2 nights accommodation per couple, breakfast on the Saturday and Sunday, dinner on the Friday and Saturday, and the Franschhoek Cap Classique Safari on the Saturday (which includes lunch)
