Meet Chef Anlou Erasmus – New Head Chef at Homespun Claremont

Anlou Erasmus is the new head chef of Homespun Claremont. He studied at Chef Training and Innovation Academy and started his career with his first internship at Asara wine estate where he was hired as a commis at the age of 19 years old.

He went on to work at Boschendal as a demi chef for over a year in order to experience farm to table dining.

After leaving Boschendal, Anlou went to learn fine dining at the Tasting Room with Margot Jansen for five weeks just before they closed down. He found his passion for fine dining and made his way to the La Colombe group. He was there for 3 years and worked his way up to sous chef. Thereafter he worked for a year at Chefs Warehouse to gain more experience.

We are very happy and excited to work with such a passionate chef and can't wait for our guests to meet him in person!
