Hazendal Jazz Club Presents Sandile Gontsana - Unsung Heroes - A Tribute To South African Jazz

Hazendal’s ever-popular Jazz Club returns on 26 May in a delicious new format, combining sultry sounds with delicious cuisine.
Gugulethu-born jazz vocalist, Sandile Gontsana, opens the series with UNSUNG HEROES - A Tribute To South African Music. The concert will highlight some of the rich compositions and arrangements of South Africa’s greatest jazz artists, paying tribute to the likes of Bheki Mseleku, Winston Mankunku Ngozi, Themba Mkhize, Moses Molelekwa, Sibongile Khumalo, Allen Kwela and others.
Sandile has worked with the likes of Sibongile Khumalo, McCoy Mrubata, the Standard Bank National Youth Jazz Band and Tshepo Mngoma to name a few. This concert will be Sandile’s last one in South Africa before he returns to London, England where he rejoins the West End Production of Disney’s The Lion King.
