Isn’t it great to get some good news for a change?  And what’s that good news you may ask? Your favourite Winelands venue is reopening its kitchen for deliveries - yes it’s true!

While the wine will have to wait until lockdown restrictions are eased, we’ve more than made up for it with our comforting winter meals that will leave you feeling happy and satisfied. After all, you deserve it. How does a starter of nachos with herb cream cheese, tomato relish, guacamole and Emmenthal cheese sound? Or maybe our scrumptious crispy buttermilk fried chicken burger, topped with pineapple, tangy brie and crispy onions, served with our speciality rustic chips and petite salad? It’s even more delicious than it sounds.

There’s nothing more comforting than traditional country food that’s prepared just like grandma made it, with tons of love and oodles of patience. Our hearty vetkoek will make those childhood memories come flooding back, while a Mexican favourite (chilli con carne) has been added to give it a fiery contemporary twist. It’s served with a yoghurt and cucumber sambal to refresh the palate.

Dedicated carnivores (who can’t be tempted by our alluring vegetarian offerings) are in for a treat with our famous cellardoor burger. Lovingly prepared in our country kitchen, the succulent beef patty is topped with a heavenly combination of roasted mushrooms and pickles (with your choice of boerenkaas and chilli jam or gorgonzola and caramelised onions), served with rustic chips of course.

And not to worry, the children aren’t forgotten. We’ve created a delicious kiddies menu tailored to the pint-sized members of the family who enjoy the finer things in life. We have deep-fried, crumbed calamari and chips; cheesy bacon penne pasta (everyone’s favourite); and of course, we couldn’t forget the pizza (a tomato base layered with mozzarella and topped with pineapple and a choice of chicken or ham).

A scrumptious winter meal wouldn’t be complete without a heart-warming dessert to top it off. Choose from our freshly baked cheesecake, deliciously moist carrot cake or decadent chocolate cake. Simply to-die-for.
