Berthas Restaurant

Berthas Restaurant is situated on the waterfront in historic Simon’s Town and overlooks the harbour and False Bay. Frequented by travellers from all over the world, Bertha's exudes a leisurely ambience where good food is served daily. The restaurant is busy during the day and serves a delicious lunch menu and in the evening guests can sip cocktails in one of Africa’s most beautiful settings. Romantic dinners can be enjoyed on the terrace next to the lapping of waves and dancing fairy lights in the distance.

Berthas offer a wide variety of dishes from traditional South African favourites to succulent seafood platters accompanied by fine South African wines. They pride themselves on serving flavoursome, well-presented dishes and do not compromise on taste, using fresh local produce in all their dishes. 

Tour Groups at Berthas

Bertha’s capable staff are trained to serve large groups of guests. There is a designated bus drop off area outside the Quayside Centre and parking for minibuses outside the restaurant.

Parking for coaches is available at nearby Cole Point. Please contact the restaurant directly for any assistance with our various group menu options and note that booking is essential.

Weddings, Functions & Events

Berthas cater for large or small functions such as weddings, birthday celebrations, year-end parties to name a few. The restaurant and its trained staff can be hired for your special function and can host from 20 to 350 guests.
