StrangeLove Secret Cocktail Recipes for you to enjoy at home!

The recently opened StrangeLove Cocktail Lounge shared their Negroni and Clover Club cocktail recipes with us.
It’s the perfect way for you to enjoy a delicious cocktail in the comfort of your own home.
The StrangeLove Negroni:
Ingredients:
50ml Mediterranean Gin
40ml Campari
40ml sweet vermouth or Capertif
A slice or big zest of orange for garnish
Preparation:
Pour the ingredients into a mixing glass filled with ice and stir until well chilled.
Strain into an ice filled tumbler
Serve:
Garnish with a large zest of orange
The Clover Club:
Ingredients:
60ml Hope African Botanical Gin
1 egg white
15ml fresh lemon juice
15ml raspberry syrup
Garnish:
Garnish with speared raspberries
Preparation:
For the raspberry syrup, muddle 3 or 4 fresh raspberries with 15ml simple syrup.
Add the ingredients into a shaker filled with ice and shake well.
Serve:
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass garnished with some speared raspberries
In a world of informal bars and pre-mixed spritzers, the brand-new StrangeLove Cocktail Lounge in Salt River stands out for its distinctive offering of small-batch hand-distilled vodka, gin, agave spirit, rhum agricole (sugarcane-juice rum), and campari-style African Amaro, and its unique menu of curated cocktail and mini-food pairings.
The cocktail lounge, sited in what was Hope Distillery’s mezzanine-level tasting room, features pared-back Scandi furnishings in dark hues, lush greenery and wooden finishes. While resident mixologist Decks serves up the carefully selected array of cocktails — which can also be paired with meals from the StrangeLove à la carte snack menu — in their own cocktail glasses, customers in the generous open-plan space can take in the bird’s-eye view over the distillery and its vast copper stills, and get a glimpse into the story behind the spirits they sip.
StrangeLove Cocktail Lounge opened on 9 February 2023, and welcomes cocktail afficionados between 17h00 and 22h30 on Thursdays and Fridays. Seating is limited to 30 a night – walk-ins will be accommodated if there is space available, but bookings are highly recommended.
