Introducing our Ernie Els South African Chilli Paste, available exclusively from our winery and the Chilli Shed at the foot of the Helderberg.
The chillies are propagated, harvested, and naturally fermented on site at the Chilli Shed, then aged for 12 months in French oak wine barrels, giving these barrels a new life. A proprietary trio of Cayenne, Bird’s Eye and Jalapeño cultivars delivers fiery heat, savoury depth and a fresh, grassy lift, all balanced into a richly textured finish.
Perfect with flame-grilled meats from our Grillworks or as a bold counterpoint on a cheese board, this paste also pairs beautifully with our wines. Try it with the plush generosity of Big Easy Red, the structure of Major Series Cabernet Sauvignon or the cellar-worthy depth of Signature.
