Thoughtfully selected for its prime position, Ernie Els winery is framed by panoramic views of Cape Town and Table Mountain to the west, and Stellenbosch and the Helderberg mountains to the east. A passage beyond our grand granite boulders, and through our wooden farmhouse-style doors will lead you into our homely, expansive tasting room and restaurant where you will be rewarded with exceptional wines and hearty farm-style cuisine.
Experience our Grillworks in action on our Restaurant Terrace on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Please be advised that our Grillworks Weekends are weather dependent and seasonal.

With auspicious beginnings as our maiden vintage in 2000, our iconic Ernie Els Signature is a New World Bordeaux-style blend, which is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon-based. The tannins are perfectly rounded by time in the bottle and draws ample fruit into a beautifully dry finish that lingers with resonance.
Our new Canapé Tasting includes a generous pour our 2017 vintage Ernie Els Signature perfectly paired with a Rare Roast Beef, Beetroot Tartare, Crispy Greens & Burnt Aubergine Canapé; followed by a Beetroot, Berry and Black Pepper palate cleanser Sorbet.
Available daily from 10h00 to 12h00 at our Tasting Room for R395 per person. Bookings are essential and can be made by emailing bookings@ernieelswines.com . Deposit may apply.

As the weather cools down, our Restaurant will be suspending Dinner Service from May to November. However, our doors will stay open for Lunch Service from Wednesday to Sunday between 12h00 and 15h30.
This Winter, we invite you to join us for an afternoon meal in the Helderberg, followed by a sweet treat.
Our Big Easy Sweet Spot is a medium-bodied, sweet, fortified wine that shows remarkable refinement in a style similar to Ruby port. Comprised from dried Shiraz grapes which are naturally high in sugar content, this fortified wine is as generous and easy going as Ernie Els himself
Available exclusively at our Restaurant, Sweet Spot has an elegant, floral nose and complex palate filled with raisins, Christmas cake and hints of fynbos; making it an excellent digestif and the perfect accompaniment to a chocolate dessert or a classic cheese board.
